Here are some Nollywood actors and actresses who have mastered the art of keeping their partners off social media.
Ramsey Nouah was born on December, 19, 1970, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is one of Nollywood’s most respected actors. He rose to the fame in the 90s with the soap opera, Fortunes, but it was his roles in romantic films like Dangerous Twins and The Figurine that cemented his lover boy status.
With over three decades in the industry, he’s made a seamless transition into directing, with hits like Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2019. Hid latest project is Tokunbo, as directed by him in 2024.

Despite his superstar status, Ramsey remains highly private about his family life. He’s been married to Emelia Philips-Nouah since 2002, but their relationship rarely makes social media headlines.
The couple shares three children, yet Nouah has mastered the art of keeping them out of the public eye. While many celebrities flaunt their relationships online, Ramsey prefers to let his work speak for him.
2. Kiekie
Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, is a big name in the Nigerian entertainment. Born on June 20, 1990, Kiekie blends comedy, acting and fashion to carve out her own niche.
With hilarious skits and viral videos, she quickly be able one of the most recognizable content creators in the country. Her acting skills have also shown in movies like Flatmates and House of Secrets.

Kiekie surprised many fans when he announced her marriage in 2020, as she had kept the relationship completely out of public view. In a podcast, she even mentioned how she splits the rent in her home. This made her trend on social media for a while.
Unlike many celebrities, Kiekie rarely posts pictures of her husband or even share their private moments online. Even when she announced her pregnancy, she kept him out of the social media frenzy.
3. Ruth Kadiri
Ruth Kadiri was born in Benin City, Nigeria. She is a powerhouse actress, producer and screenwriter. She broke into Nollywood with Boy’s Cot in 2009 and quickly built a reputation with her emotional roles.
Currently, Ruth has become a big name in YouTube movie productions with movies amassing millions of views. She has delivered hits like Memory Lane and Circle of Sinners.

Ruth has been married to her mystery husband, Mr. Ezerika, since 2018, but you’d hardly know about it from her Instagram. The actress rarely posts about her partner, preferring to keep their marriage completely off social media.
Even when she welcomed her daughters, she did so without sharing photos of her husband. By keeping her partner hidden, Ruth sends a powerful message that love doesn’t need an audience to thrive.
4. Mary Njoku
Mary Remmy Njoku, born on March, 20, 1985, in Lagos, Nigeria is a prominent actress, producer and entrepreneur. She is the CEO of ROK Studios, one of Africa’s biggest production companies.
She has been married to Jason Njoku, the founder of iROKOtv, since 2012. Although both are public figures, Mary hardly ever shares their intimate moments online. When she does, it’s usually business-related.
5. Uzor Arukwe
Uzor Arukwe is one of Nollywood’s most talented actors, known for his versatile performances in both comedy and drama. He was born in Abia State, Nigeria and began his acting career in the early 2010s.
However, his breakout role came in the comedy film, Sergeant Tutu in 2017, which earned him widespread recognition. He further solidified his place in the industry with films like Size 12, Hire a Woman and Sugar Rush.

A lot of fans would bet that Uzor is still single and is searching for a wife. That’s how much Uzor has been able to keep his relationship and family away from social media. The actor is married and hardly ever mentions his partner, a rare feat in the Nollywood circle.
In an interview, he expressed how his wife loved a private life and didn’t want to be in the public eye. So, he respected her wishes, choosing to solely focus on his craft.
6. Jim Iyke
Jim Iyke was born in September, 1976 in Libreville, Gabon. He is one of Nollywood’s most iconic actors. Known for his “bad boy” roles, he began acting in 2001 and quickly became one of the highest-paid actors in the industry.
With over 150 movies to his name, including Last Flight to Abuja, Merry Men and American Driver, Iyke’s charisma has kept him relevant for decades. He is also a fan favourite because he gives off “black American” vibes in his movies.

7. Chidi Mokeme
Chidi Mokeme, born on March, 1972, in Anambra State, is a veteran Nollywood actor and TV host. He started acting in the late 1990s and gained fame with movies like Abuja Connection and Critical Condition.
Beyond acting, he became a household name as the host of Gulder Ultimate Search. He married Jean Olumba, q US-based pharmacist, in 2013 and they have a son together, Noah Mokeme.

Their marriage is rarely seen on social media and this is owed largely to the fact that the couple live separately and have lived separately since their wedding in 2012. The wife in the US and him in Nigeria.
Mokeme expressed that relocation can’t happen in one day. That they try to make it work and knew what they were getting into when they started a relationship and ended up getting married.
8. Zainab Balogun
Zainab Balogun, born in 1989, in London, United Kingdom, is a multi-talented actress, model and TV presenter. She transitioned into Nollywood with roles in The Wedding Party in 2016 and Sylvia in 2018.
Zainab married billionaire businessman, Dikko Nwachukwu in 2018, but unlike many celebrities, she keeps their relationship completely off social media. She rarely shares photos of her husband or their intimate moments.

The actress once tweeted about how she’d like the world to go back to the time when celebrities were mysterious and people didn’t know anything about their personal lives. She added that she is able to protect the things and people that matter most to her by keeping them off social media.
9. Ireti Doyle
Ireti Doyle is one of Nollywood’s finest actresses, with a career spanning over a decade. She has starred in iconic films like Tinsel, Fifty and The Arbitration, earning numerous accolades along the way.
Through she was previously married to actor, Patrick Doyle, Ireti has always been discreet about her personal life. Before their divorce and after the divorce, the actress rarely made mention of their relationship.
10. Femi Adebayo
Femi Adebayo was born in Lagos and is one of Nollywood’s finest Yoruba actors and producers. He followed in the footsteps of his father, veteran actor, Adebayo Salami and made his debut in Owo Blow in 1995.
Femi has been previously married and divorced before he married Omotayo Adebayo in 2016. The couple have children together but Femi tries not to flaunt them on social media except for special occasions.
